I have had contact, any time it has been needed. I was just sent a letter, saying someone has been appointed to my case. So far, no issues. I don't think some of you are doing things right. Very happy, so far

Miss leading.

Was told for over a year long-term disability paid their fee's. The case was won and 4500 was sent to them. I called why was this? To pay back long-term disability if there is a balance it will be returned to you. I knew I only owed 370 to them. Called them again 2 weeks later to ask when I will receive the refund. Now the story changed, that's our fee for our services. Argued with them about what I was told for over a year. Their reply was you signed the contract. Told them to check their recordings because I was told 20 to 30 times I was not the one paying them it was long-term disability insurance.

They gave me no advice, and a worthless attorney that I met 20 minutes before my Hearing! I lost case, and Appeal! They won't even take it to the Federal level. There's a $550 filling fee, that they don't want to pay! I offered to pay. They said it's out of their scope! I wish I opted to use a private attorney, instead of these crooks! Now I'm screwed, with a 5 level spinal fusion, in constant pain, NO INCOME! NOW WHAT?

Do it yourself. Leave attorney's alone they are all thieves.

Jesse James is reincarnated. The mob owns the legal system you can't get NO attorney to do good anymore. Leave them alone starve wm. File for yourself and find a jail house lawyer that can help show you how to do it for yourself.

That's called Pro Se stop being robbed and get nothing.

If you loose its for free. Crooks all of them

Don’t use these people

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I read through the reviews and it’s the same for all of us. Bad service, young uninformed and incompetent staff and poor records to social security. I told my LTD company I refuse to move forward with these incompetent people to the hearing. I knew before reading these reviews that I would be on my own at the hearing with a lawyer who glanced at my file 5 minutes before it starts. I fired them and got a local lawyer who handed me a form I had never seen before nor had my doctor asked about filing it out. They usually charge for that sort of thing and I know I never asked to pay. I probably wouldn’t have lost the first time if it had been included. Just a big corporation making money off sick people with no concerns about what this means to someone’s life.

Useless!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My LTD provider contracted with The Advocator Group, to assist me in my attempt to get SSDI. They were of no help whatsoever.

They are supposed to the experts, and yet they provided no guidance. After all the necessary steps, my first claim was denied, so we submitted a claim a second time... At the hearing I learned that essential documents, including my physician's statement, were not submitted to the judge. After my second attempt to for SSDI was denied, I attempted to find my own attorney.

Unfortunately, no one would take my case. I was stuck with The Advocator Group. When it became time for my hearing (3rd claim, 3rd hearing), an attorney called me, stating that The Advocator Group called him and asked him to represent me. This attorney had never worked with them before, but he agreed to represent me at my hearing.

When he called me that first time, he started asking me a bunch of questions in preparation for the hearing. I told him that none of the previous attorneys (employed by Advocator), called me the before the hearing, and asked questions. He was shocked. I didn't meet the previous attorneys until minutes before the hearing.

They would ask a few questions, and that was it. Even during the hearing, the barely spoke up on my behalf. Unfortunately, my third hearing was denied. I blame this on the fact that the judge considered my 2 previous denied claims in her decisions.

A lot of mistakes were made by The Advocator Group.

I made mistakes too, but in my defence, The Advocator Group should have guided me. In closing, I'd like to add that my LTD provider no longer uses The Advocator Group, because of their poor performance.

18 months. Did alot of their job for them. They hooked us up with an imbecile. I wanted my husband to postpone. But he is in such bad health he didn't want to. It was a mistake thinking since we had 17 doctors, several surgeries, cancer two times and several discs pushing on my spinal cord it would b a no brainer. I hope for my families sake I make it. but I can't work n I was forced to withdrawal because the attorney had no persuasion skills.

Unfair

I spoke with these people maybe twice. Was not kept up tp date.

Did my own paper filing and sent in records to social security. Was getting long term disability from Cigna, which I paid into for years through my workplace. Out of the blue, money was deposited to my account, I was not sure from where, Then more than a month later, advocatore group sent me a letter saying I owed them that money, it was not even mine to keep. This after having my chest sawed open for emergency heart surgery.

Some help.

Now I am worse off financially than before. I was never told I would owe advocator group after all was said and done.

You didn’t owe the Advocator Group, you owed your long term disability carrier! The back benefits were deposited in your account from SSA and since you can’t double dip your LTD carrier gets the portion they paid you back.

I am currently working with this group. And they had informed me that they collect back all money paid to me by Cigna Not just $4,600

YIKES!

Up until time of scheduled hearing they seemed fairly competent....and then.......they sent me an "attorney" who had to look at her drivers license twice to get her own name correct! The only words she offered on my behalf were" enter into evidence med record # 0000"? Nope...not my name. Not my record! "Nothing further". That's what I got from them. Run! Don't walk...RUN! I don't even have an answer from the hearing yet but either way....save yourself!!!!!

Awarded SSDI benefits and monies put in bank in 9/2017. LTD company required ALL but $120 of the amount deposited in 9/2017.

Advocator group took and paid LTD co in 1/2018. May 2018 I received letter stating their attny fees weren't paid before i got the monies. Now they say i owe them over $4,000.00 even though the calculations to figure the amount deposited indicated a lawyers fee WAS taken out.

Now they are trying to say the benefits period includes time after i recd my payment.... wtf

That is usually a Social Security Error. They will put in the award letter that they withheld the attorney fees and then not pay the attorney.

If that happens, you still have to pay the attorney fees.

They only get paid if you are awarded. My company (Disability) credits those attorney fees.

These are the WORST “advocators” imaginable. I have TBI and they made it sound like I have headaches-they NEVER got medical records to SS. At one point, I was doing their job. They do not follow thru and you never speak to same person twice. DENIED due to their negligence.
